Conclusiones
A través de un análisis general de la sostenibilidad del desarrollo turístico rural en Hungría, se intentó presentar la naturaleza compleja de la actividad. Aunque el turismo rural tiene el potencial de ser una de las herramientas más efectiva para el desarrollo regional, este no ha satisfecho hasta ahora las expectativas, debido a varias razones interrelaciondas descritas anteriormente en este trabajo.
El próximo paso en la investigación de este tópico será la evaluación detallada de uno o varios destinos de turismo rural en Hungría a través de los indicadores presentados de sostenibilidad. Un estudio de esta clase serviría para varios propósitos: ayudaría a probar la utilidad, la propiedad y la aplicabilidad de estos indicadores en el análisis de la sostenibilidad del turismo rural, y contribuiría a comprender lo que grupos interesados diferentes (incluyendo miembros de las comunidades locales, turistas, ecologistas o comerciantes) perciben como desarrollo sostenible del turismo rural. Una mejor comprensión de estas percepciones ayudaría a la planificación de un turismo rural que sea capaz de satisfacer las necesidades de la mayor parte de los grupos tanto ahora como en el futuro.
